Arum is an untrustworthy vindictive prick. He screwed over Donaire for years. Why is it he never gave this guy, who is a top 5 p4p, a massive promotional push or let him fight on Pacs undercard? Nonito is almost 29 and he has never been given the attention he deserves, he doesn't have much time left in his career.

And the ridiculously hypocritical thing about this is, another filipino named Pacquiao did the exact same thing, he signed onto Top Rank while he was under contract with GB, and the judges allowed him to do this.

And now when Nonitio tries to do the EXACT same thing PAC did, it's not allowed? What BS.

Donaire was justifiably dissatisfied with TR; but not waiting until his current contract expires to make the switch to GB was a mistake.

Maybe he got questionable legal advice which emboldened him to jump ship? I hope he doesn't squander his great win over Montiel. He needs to fight regularly, keep his name out there.

Yeah, Nonito and Jin Mosley II are being completely unrealistic about this whole thing. Can anyone name any bantamweight in history who was a big draw who justified $1 million paydays (which is what they demanded)? Donaire was set to make $500K for his May 28th fight, with the promise of more in the future... and that wasn't good enough.

How many bantams are even making $250K for fights?

This is all true. It seems that unfortunately Donaire is joining the long list (Berto, Bradley, Paul Williams, Joshua Clottey) of boxers who fail boxing business 101.
How can you want over a million dollars for a fight when you don't generate that much. They forget that very few fighters actually draw enough to make multi millions.

Donaire got greedy he probably felt like he's in the same level with Pacquiao which he can attain but he needs to move up weight if he wants the big bucks. If he won't move up weight, he should stick to being a photographer
