RJJ is hungry, when I saw him commentating on HBO all the time, I just had a feeling he was training hard during his semi-retirement so he could avenge his loss.

A hungry RJJ, is an AWESOME RJJ. RJJ UD or TKO LATE.

Anyone know if the fight is going to be 12 rounds? I don't think it's a title fight because Glen Johnson still has his belt and didn't lose it to Tarver when they fought.
and did they play patty cake for the other 1 minute?

          hmm

I can't remember a recent fight where a fighter had more to win or lose, than what Jones is facing this weekend:

if Roy wins by KO, he's the best fighter of our lifetime

if he wins by decision, he's an all-time great

if he loses by KO or Dec., he's an over-rated paper champion who couldn't beat any quality opposition

talk about your legacy being on the line!!!!!!!
I know to Roy there is a lot on the line, but don't you think that's a little exteme. I mean, I think that if Roy wins a lot of people will still say he was overrated and likewise if he loses a lot of people will still say he is an all-time great.

To me, if he loses he was old anyway and if he wins it's a very good win and just solidifies what I knew all along.

I dunno if it's too extreme, otherwise Roy could just stay retired and our last impression of him would be of him stretched on the canvas after Johnson smacked him up....I'm guessing that Roy wants to leave the sport with a big W vs. a big KO L

this Saturday is all about Roy's legacy, personally I'll still tell my grand-kids that Roy Jones was the most talented athlete I've ever seen in the ring, but....I can't tell them that he was the best FIGHTER I've ever seen, UNLESS he comes thru in a big way this Saturday

just my own personal & extremely biased opinion

Hopefully Roy Jones can win this fight, I dont think his chin will last 10 rounds anymore but if Roy Jones wins, it will help boxing if Jones is able to make a comeback. Roy Jones is maybe the greatest of our era but its hard to picture him winning a meaningful fight cause his chin is in question. I used to hate Jones Jr. Now that hes not the same fighter, ive began to appreciate his talent. We need Roy to win, if he doesnt, he should just hang his gloves up or move down in weight class.

                Cvc Pipe

That piece was a little misleading because Big Roy used to do that with ALL the guys in the gym at times... he would take them under rt. 10 in Pensaola and run them and the one that was in last place knew the pipe would catch him in the back of the legs

I still can't figure out how Tarver won the 1st fight in some peoples eyes.

I think some people saw it that way because it was the closest to Jones losing most people have seen.I wanted Tarver but in all fairness I think Roy won by a couple points but it was competitive throughout.I would not be mad if Roy won because it would make for a better story but I want Tarver in my heart just have never been a big Roy fan but respect him for his accoplishments.
