I think far to often people on this site get outraged when a close fight does not go their way or the way they scored. Look no one on here is a professional judge (or at least no one that I know of) plus judging from your couch at home is much different then judging from ringside. Like I said there is "home cooking" everywhere, I just feel out of all of the countries to go fight in America gives the best chance to get a fair score.

People on here need to stop confusing a close fight with a "fixed fight" anytime it doesn't go the way they scored it. Beside you never know what PROFESSIONAL judges are looking for. The 10 point must system is far from perfect and it leaves a lot of the scoring up to interpretation, that's why there are 3 judges ringside. One might score on effective punching, another might like ring generalship, while the 3rd judge might like an effective work rate. You just never know what judges are looking for, hence the differences in scores.

However I digress. Look, a lot of you European fans may not like this, but America is the boxing capital of the world. We may not love it more than other countries in the world, hell we don't even have the best fighters in the world, but this is where all fighters strive to fight. America is where the money is, where the fame, and it's where you become a super star. Why do you think Hatton always came to America to fight when he got big or why his fights were scheduled to be fought for US audiences? It's the same reason Khan, Martinez, Pacquiao, Marquez, Cotto, and Alverez fight most if not all of the fights here now. Because they want to be an American boxing star and all the money and fame that comes with it. The old moniker is true, if you make it in America, you've made it everywhere.

Are there some fighters that are exceptions to this rule yes, but it's true for the overwhelming majority of major boxers and it's the reason the Super Six World Boxing Classic was started in the first place, to make a new boxing super star in America. I know it sounds ****y and self centered, but it's the truth. Should Ward be forced to fight outside of California in the final, yes I would agree not just because he needs to fight in a different state, but also because this final needs to be either in Vegas or New York. However, the final has to be in America.

As for that nonsense about Ward only fighting good because he's in California, it's just that nonsense. Good, dominate fighters don't need "home field advantage" because they are good fighters. The Klitchkos can go anywhere in the world in dominate fights, and they have, that's why it's ****** when people say they have to fight in Germany to win fights. Good fighters are just good fighters and the sooner people on here realize that Ward is a good fighter the better it will be for them because he is going to be around for a long, long time.
I agree with a lot of that alrite. I only listed a few questionable decisions in the states but realise visiting fighters get the nod too, like calzaghe in that pretty close fight against hopkins, hatton v collazo etc. I also agree that america is the boxing capital and your right you do need to go to the states to make it big in the sport. I was mostly giving out about ward not having to get on his bike and having to travel a bit for his big fights like the rest of them in the super six have to, plus the way his team and the cali commission try to impose all homestate officials.

I still feel that ward will be very tough to get a decision against in the states, just the same with froch in nottingham and bute in canada. But thats boxing i guess. You would have to beat one of them from pillar to post to get the nod from the officials.
