thats not the point. out of all of those fighters u named, hes fought the better fighters without losing and most of the fights were not even close at all. hes the best smw currently. i dont get ur argument. froch isnt, he lost to kessler. bute shouldnt even be mentioned. ppl get on andre berto for fighting bums. wtf has bute done in his title reign? hes beat absolutely no1.

no bute beat andrade and bika (and miranda) and looked better vs common opponents than ward.

ward beat those two as well, while i admit that ward has faced kessler and that obviously trumps anything bute has done, im not inclined to consider abraham to be a top smw. ward is a good fighter, but he's overrated to me and froch has the best win out of all the smw's in pascal IMO. yes he lost to kessler so im not ready to crown him the best smw either.

the best smw is the one that wins the tourney, that's why we're in the semi finals, not the freakin finals. its not like ward's smoking guys. ward is nbot the best smw, people say styles make fights and thats why froch beat abe more impressively, well styles make fights and thats why ward looked better v kessler. kessler was not expecting that type of fight from ward

They do have a point as far as casual fans not liking Ward's style. The guy is not fan friendly. He will NEVER be a PPV fighter. And before you morons who can't read for **** start crying, I said CASUAL fans. Not hardcore fans. We're hardcore fans. We understand the science behind the sport. But we also don't pay the bills. Boxing survives off of the interest of casual fans. And that interests is decreasing.

It's hilarious how people suddenly regard Ward as a top technical fighter after facing statue Abraham last night.

People seem to forget he utilizes too many tactics that are NOT part of the official rules of boxing. Look at the Allan Green fight, that is a disgrace, that is NOT boxing.

I thought Ward boxed beautifully last night. He is very versatile and His fluidity allows him to adjust and he picked apart Abraham after that. Abraham was very economical and he can't even past Ward jab. I thought he was doing good when he was throwing his jab but Ward figured him out in the 4th and it was over. Ward is on another level and It will take a great fighter to beat him.

However casual fans want someone who can knock someone out like Tyson. Search and destroy mode. They want wars, bloods and guts and they want a brutal beatdown. They do not care about the sweet science and the art. For them boxing its an entertaiment.
