          I'm suprised at that.

I think Benitez will be a nightmare for Chavez at either weight.

Chavez won't respect Benitez' power but Benitez isn't Meldrick Taylor.

I can't see how Chavez beats him at any weight personally. You see Chavez stopping him? Because I would bet my house he doesn't get a descion on Wilfred.

I could see JCC pressure getting into a very young Benitez at 140. I don't think he still had hit his prime when Benitez was a JWW, he hit his prime at WW when he was against Palomino and SRL IMO. Granted he's prime ended at a young age. Even though he had great defense I think JCC experience, pressure, infighting, would have been too much -for the young going into his prime Benitez- to handle. But, at WW, Benitez would have been to much for JCC.

I understand that assessment. He was a very young Champion, the youngest.

But, he showed he matured incrediblely early, he wasn't in his prime at 140 but he was mature enough at that stage to deal with the likes of Cervantes. A fight I think he quite clearly won.

That's why I say Chavez would make it competitive. But Benitez would give him so many problems, even at his young age. I see Chavez getting frustrated by Benitez' defence and making silly mistakes allowing Benitez to rack up the rounds.

3 years after Cervantes he was the complete package in my view Vs. Palomino another fight I felt he won quite clearly as opposed to the descision and that version beats Chavez no question. I don't rate Chavez a 147 at all anyway. I see that being a mis match.

But, I still think Benitez style is just horrible for Chavez even as a youngster at 140.

I am shocked by the poll results so far. I think Benitez was too skilled on the defensive end and had great offensive skills even at a very young age like he proved vs Cervantes. His power was also very good and Chavez would feel him even with the great chin he had Benitez would keep him honest. I really don't think Chavez beats him at any weight.
