  • I hope he turns into the PR version of Gatti...shyt we need some entertainment from HBO boxers nowadays.

I have no idea how he stayed up tho...its weird all those times he was hurt he always had his guard up. Good instincts. His punches seem kinda slow, but they are like sledgehammers when they hit your body. Throw him against any name fighter and it'll be fun to watch. This foo is gettin fun to watch now! That's the best!

Cotto has great skills but he chose to come out and go toe-to-toe against Torres when he didn't have to. He should've fought like he did against Abdullaev: going backwards and counterpunching. Cotto has very good boxing skills and has the ability to move but he is getting too wrapped up in his power.

And I think you're right, Torres gives many, many fighters a tough fight.

I disagree. I think Cotto beats Oscar (he's too old and doesn't move around anymore, he just likes to stand there. Also, inactivity and weight loss would really benefit Cotto.

He would lose to Zab right now, IMHO, on account of Zab's speed, but Zab might get KO'd in that fight (especially if Spinks can KD him).

Margarito would kill him but Mosley would lose a good, contested fight.

Mayweather disposes of Cotto and makes him look silly unless Cotto is able to cut the ring and pound Floyd to the body (Floyd doesn't have the power to hurt Cotto) but I still believe Cotto would KO Hatton based on Hatton's coming-forward style.

I'd try and debate the question, but I'm just a little white gal..so I cant possible know if I'm 'good enough' to debate with you. Just finding out that race matters to you and all, I'd better not chance it.

Oscar can take a punch from Hopkins, Tito, and Vargas to the head, what makes u think Cotto would hurt Oscar. And Oscar hits harder than any 140 147 and most 154 fighters out there, if Torres and Corley had Cotto rocked what you think Oscar would do

Zab and Mosley would just outbox Cotto completly.

but Floyd.......omg (i wont even mention C***O name in the same sentence)

Cotto has too much pride to keep fighting backwards, plus his style isn't effective backing up, he likes to work the right side of his opponent using hooks to the body and head and uppercuts...Cotto has to keep coming forward to stay in rythm, which places his delicate chin in the danger zone...He has just run through all the suspects and has beens and no it's time to fight some real contenders and champs...So get used to seeing cotto on his ass a whole lot more in his upcoming fights...

                • Cotto showed great heart in that fight. His chin is not the best in the world but he has heart, and that counts for alot.
