So, I wasn't trying to say that he was something special in his previous fights - only that he hadn't always fought (or not fought lol) like the he did in the Pac fight.

But I don't blame anyone for not wanting to see him fight again. I just wouldn't mind seeing what his next performance would be like, to see if he would be competitive again or not. Some fighters come back fighting harder than ever to prove it was a fluke, and some just never come back again.

Clottey ought to be grateful for an opportunity against anybody at this point, and take whatever $$$ to show if he has got anything left.
I pretty much agree with everything you said.

Clottey has a lot of nerve to say this, or anything really. He gave up a winnable fight against Cotto, then refused to make any effort against Pac. Whoever he fights next, I hope they knock him out brutally.

I kinda feel sad when I look at clottey, dude is built like a ****ing tank. Why a man who looks like he could punch through a brick wall would fight like such a sucker I'll never understand.

If ur not good enough to beat a fighter on the cards u need to go for the ko, if u don't have the heart to lay it on the line a go out on ur shield, I don't have the heart to spend my hard earned money on ur ass.

Agreed. I say feed him to Martinez, just for the fun factor.

          1.) " I don't know how to explain..... "

2.) " I really don't understand what happened to me in that fight..... "

3.) " I just think it was one of those things..... "

          4.) " I don't know what happened..... "

5.) " I knew I could hurt him when I threw my power shots..... "

          6.) " I didn't feel like his punches really hurt me..... "

          7.) " I felt OK after..... "

8.) " there are so many reasons the fight happened the way it did..... "

Didn't happen though cuz of the beef with Arum and Floyd.
I don't think Miguels heart was in boxing during this period. Not only that, but besides the headbutt to his left eye that most people seem to pass off, Cotto had also hired Joe Santiago as his trainer which couldn't have helped his career one bit. Clottey is notorious for butting, the Baldomir fight is a perfect example. He comes in headfirst with his biga$$ dome looking to bust you up, of course Cotto's going to tear his eyebrow, he does in all his competitive fights. The way Cotto's style of fighting is, with his right hand posted up against his head and working off the jab leaves him open to straights and right hooks and Clottey was able to dictate that with an already battered opponent. I'm willing to bet that if he fought in Cotto's shoes, bloodied and bruised with one eye he would've crapped out worse than he did against Manny. That alone says to me the guy is trash, he'll always come up short with the fans b/c he's only in it for a check.

The question I have is: How will the FROG Cintron fly out the ring this time if his opponent doesnt even throw punches?

All jokes aside, I think this is a good fight for both.

How old is Clottey? Mosley was still older when team Pac said Mosley was "too good" a few years back. After Mayweather technically destroyed him, everyone said Sweet-n-low Shane was old. Nothing changed vs mora. At the end of the day this is why Pac selected yet another losing former champ with a name. It just back fired as Shane's just too old like everyone said he was a year ago. Mosley was done. Clottey is just a never has been.

JMM above 140 is done. Mayweather proved this and rightfully got shyt for it. Now Pacs doing it. Either fight below 140 or fight a WW or a real JMW. It was funny how Pac when asked about Floyd on the spot didn't know what to say other than Bob Arum who we know doesn't want to deal with Floyd. Which is the reason we got the in house Clottey fight vs Pac in the first place. Pac said no to floyd and gave clottey a pay day. Now Clottey thinks he's a superstar.
