Sergio isn't classed as an ATG, Pacquiao is and is blowing away the competition at 147 so why don't he accept a challenge instead of beating fighters that aren't a threat.

Also, Leonard moved up but after waiting for Hagler to get old and beating him at middleweight, skipped fighting the best opponents at 168-175, instead fought Lalonde at a catchweight and defended at catchweights against Hearns and Duran. And Marvin Hagler didn't move up at all, he was a career middleweight and his biggest fights came against smaller guys. I don't know what you're talking about.
Nope, stop enabling Mannys cowardliness, truth about it, if Margarito was a full MW you guys wouldn't have a problem with it, because you guys know he is NO THREAT to Manny.

Manny is only fighting SLOW big guys, why not fight a BIG Skilled guy?

Probably the same reasoning Martinez and his fans have for not wanting to fight above 160 which would definately help more in his cause to become P4P #1 than beating Cotto or any JMW would.

There is a reason why Atlas works FNF and not any of the major boxing events, he's a complete idiot. Manny has to prove how great he is by moving up to a 9th division? I agree a fight with Sergio would be awesome, let them meet at 154. Too bad Sergio couldn't draw a stick figure much less a crowd which is the only reason he doesn't get the fight, well... except for the fact that he would be about 5 inches taller, 5+ inch reach and probably 20+ pounds on fight night. Manny has done more than enough to prove how great a fighter he is, he doesn't need Sergio to prove anything.

Pacquiao moved up so many weight division because he turned pro at 16. That stat is a little misleading.

if hes a bum and mannys a 8 divison champ why cant he fight that bum at 154 where both held the same wbc belt??

Not the same case. It's not like Manny is way bigger than Marquez. Marquez is even an inch taller than Pac. Besides, they already came to an agreement, didn't they? 144, which they can easily make. They don't even have to come at that limit. Pacquiao won't. On fight night they usually weigh the same. I don't see any problem with it. If you're telling me that Marquez can't make that weight because he is too weak, then he doesn't deserve the trilogy.

Pac stated that he can fight anyone at 150 and below. Sergio wants it at 154. So the disagreement is there. Why force it? Marquez can always say no, just as Sergio did.

At the lower weights there isn't much difference in lbs either.
