Because neither Chavez or Don King wanted it for obvious reasons. The same way Chavez didn't rematch Frankie Randall(after quitting in fight 2) until Randall was over 40 years old in a meaningless fight.

It was kind of like Jeff Fenech and Azumah Nelson in a meaningless third fight as two old fighters.

Wasn't Chavez shop worn when he fought Randell ? Didn't Randell take EPO to comrete with Chavez. Chavez knock his lame ass out when he wasn't using roids

After Chavez was hitting Whitaker on the hips and thighs. The only difference is Whitaker didn't cry about it like Chavez always did.

Chavez next mandatory was Jake Rodriguez that was a sparing partner for Withaker and had similar style.

Chavez didn't want to fight another lefty with that style and took on Randall instead.

Randall was a notorious coke head and was arrested for that during his career.

I never heard of Randall using PEDs of any kink

I would have thought both would be willing to step in the ring again for a rematch to prove who was undoubtedly the better man
