Peter was warned, early on in the fight as well...

and what all of you seem to forget here is that the bare fact that Peter was punching when a clinch was in progress was illegal and what he was warned about. The ref was rubbish, plain and simple.

Peter kept doing what he was warned about, and never received a deduction. If the deduction never occurs, why stop the illegal move?

I agree with this post and I think it was unacceptable to let those punches to the back of the head continue.

IF Wlad was holding, warn him, then take the point away, same scenario.

The ref shouldn't have even been in there, the only thing he really did was get in the way, resulting in one of Wlad's knock downs.

If Peter has to resort to puching in the back of the head as a reaction to being in a clinch, he needs to return to the c-level competition that he's been thrashing.

I give him credit for his faith, his heart, and his durability, but he should be more humble and learn more skills.

i counted over a dozen rabbit punches. you can't tell me that was unintentional. it seemed pretty obvious, to me atleast, that peter was frustrated.

and rabbit punches are far more dangerous than headbutts or clinching.

I counted about that many as well.

The frustration should have and usually results in a disqualification.

I'm guessing you never watch Fres Oquendo fight.

You guys see what you want to see. Wlad's constant holding was a foul as well.

Holyfield always threw head butts, Tyson threw elbows, Ruiz hugs excessivly, Oquendo rabbit punches constantly, Lewis was always holding and hitting.

It happens in fights, and it's funny that it's such a sore spot when it's a Klitschko.

It wasn't nearly as bad as some of you are making it out to be, and the main reason it stuck in your throats is because Wlad hit the canvass several times.

You my friend, are very wise.

              i myself am very wise.

i knew wlad would win and i myself won several thousand american dollars tonight. though i noticed bozo is already hating.

if there had been a real official tonight sam peter would have been disqualified, both the knowckdowns in the 2 kncokdown round were bull****, he was clearly not hurt.

credit peter for whatever, but wlad wins the next go round by DQ in the 4th, provided they get a real ref.

what was his name by the way??? he should be retired!

the thing about rabbit punches is that they're extremely detrimental to the other fighter and have been a proven cause of serious health issues. and when someone with sam peter's power does it over and over and over, it could result in a serious health risk to the other fighter. no matter how tough you are, the spot where you're neck meets your head, is a particularly vulnerable area. thus it has been made illegal in boxing for a reason.

and as for wlad's clinching, i agree with big george foreman that it was a skillfull tactic. he certainly didn't pull a ruiz. although i do think there were a few times where wladimir should've punched his way out.

what really impressed me though, is that wlad admitted there is much he needs to work on. that kind of humbleness will only make you better.

yeah I love Brewster. He is one of my favorite heavyweights.

I will say though, he is dealing with a whole new monster now.
