Didn't say williams was afraid of anybody. Just don't get the whole "most feared man" thing when there are fighters not only willing to fight you but also calling you out. I never heard of Clottey turning down a Williams fight. Gonna have to search for that.Clottey also turned down a fight with Williams. I don't understand the concept of Williams being afraid of Clottey when he has faced prime Margarito, signed to fight Pavlik, and fought Segio Martinez twice. And now he's afraid of Wolak? Clottey presents nothing for Williams to be afraid of.Comment

Williams aint going near a guy like that for a while. Now that he's been ktfo, every rough, hard hitting guy in the game is going to try to make that fight. Williams will be in there with softer handed guys his next few fights.Comment

did kim give cotto shyt for fighting jennings after quitting against margarito? did this sam clown give margarito shyt for fighting that bum in mexico after the quitter beat his brains in?

Im lost? Why the hate from Steve on Paul? Did he not just fight Martinez? So um clearly hes not worried about him having a pulse not to mention he gets battered by Williams.
Im sure Goosen is going after a title at 154 or a bigger name. Im lost where was Kim when Cotto fought Jennings? When Marg fought Golden Johnson? Is Paul not allowed a soft touch tune up fight?Comment

On Thursday, BoxingScene.com ran an interview with former welterweight champion Joshua Clottey, who explained his decision to turn down an offer of $650,000 to fight Paul Williams on December 5. According to Clottey, he needed a few more weeks to train. But, at the same time he made it clear that an offer of $650K is not enough to close the deal - unless the fight is pushed back to a later date. Clottey cited a few of his personal concerns, including several days of absence from the gym. He appeared to be concerned that his new trainer had already flown back to Africa.
Clottey clearly ducked the fight after claiming he wanted the fight and would fight Williams at 154. When it was offered he came up with excuses not to take the fight.Last edited by joseph5620; 05-11-2011, 06:28 PM.Comment
