Comments Thread For: Danny Williams May Face Charr on Sturm-Macklin Card

British heavyweight Danny Williams will face - as previously reported - Hungarian champion Zoltan Petranyi on June 4 in Gyor. If all goes well, then Williams, 43-9, will face unbeaten German Manuel Charr on June 25 in Cologne as part of the undercard to Felix Sturm vs. Matthew Macklin. [Click Here To Read More]

Danny gave an interview on here a while ago about how he knows he's no longer a top fighter but just wants to enjoy small fights like he's been having recently.

Now it seems he's going to take a dangerous fight again, which is what a lot of us hoped wouldn't happen but kinda expected.

He really should retire. He looked shot against Baker and Chisora. Good for him that he went out on a win against that Latvian journeyman but he needs to leave it there because any unbeaten prospect worth anything at all will likely knock him out.

Boxing is a great but dangerous game. Williams continuing to fight is a big worry because he is a very, very shot fighter.

Williams is totally shot. Over most of his career he has showed little heart for the game, someone need's to have a good talk with him before he gets seriously hurt.
