Manny's time could be a lot closer than we think.

Might even be Tarver-Roy shocking, or even as disgusting as Taylor-Leonard. These things happen quick with Manny-like fighters. Again, once he's unable to get into those weird angles, throw the punches they don't see coming, what then?

Gonna be very neutral with this topic, be it pride, maybe it's Floyd's fault, maybe it's Manny's, WHO CARES. Whatever the situation may be (I have my own beliefs), even if one feels that Mayweather is making Pacquiao jump through hoops, Pacquiao should say FUCK IT and fight Floyd before it's too late.

but seriously, you guys can make all your arguments for why Floyd can maintain and im not gonna argue...you COULD be right

however, its rather narrowminded to think that he MIGHT NOT be the same...like its beyond the realm of possibility for that outcome to surface

i think before we can make these 'there's no doubt in my mind he'd win' threads, it would be best to side on caution and see the guy first...we've seen fighters age overnight...even fighters that dont rely on explosion...fighters that use basic fundamentals

ok pac is on the decline...this is the best time for floyd to fight pac. too bad he didn't see pac's declining performance as he was busy watching lady gaga's concert.

oh lord. floyd is in danger of being called the guy who ducked pac for the rest of his life.

I COMPLETELY agree with all of you guys that have suggested that between Floyd's inactivity and age his skills/reflexes may be diminished...that is 100% absolutely a very real possibility. However, I will say this, if the same Mayweather that fought Marquez and Mosley fights the same Pac that just fought Mosley, Mayweather wins that fight with relative ease.

If Mayweather's skills/reflexes have not diminished and Pac and him fight within the next 2 years I will tell you right it boils down to one thing. If they fight Mayweather's fight (boxing, slower pace, fewer punches, etc..) Mayweather wins easily, if they fight Pac's fight (fighting, chaotic pace, tons of punches) Pac wins. It really is just that simple. However, at the end of the day does anyone really think Mayweather would be silly enough to get into that type of fight with Pac?

Insert ******* comment before any ******* can: "Mayweather isn't fighting ANY type of fight against Pac because he isn't fighting."

Real bad comparison with Winky there bro considering Winky was NEVER fast at any point in his career.

                      This a very valid point.

Floyd took 2 years off before and he was ok.

Will he do it again? I'm 50-50.

It doesn't matter how gifted you are, in your 30's you can't keep taking this amount of time off.

Plus, Floyd outright relies in physcial attributes also. Losing them or them declining would effect him, badly.
