Haha... One thing I always do is check the location of a poster... It can tell you a lot.

    Arizona, Houston, California etc etc

44 fights this Jr has and he has yet to smack Martinez (160lbs) at a club and demand a fight. I guess he will do the "heroic" thing and fight a smaller guy. The tradition continues.

I take it Wilfredo Vazquez was going up in weight to face Arce? How about Gomez for Pintor and Zarate?

I was making a point about the haters asking why cotto has yet to fight Martinez when Chavez with 44 fights and a middleweight is fighting guys like Duddy... The fact is, when Wilfredo fought Pinto and Zarate, there was really nobody in his division worthy of fighting... Chavez has Martinez at 160lbs and has NO interest but he feels bold against an aging welter?

Don't get me started on the PEDS issue with Chavez...

Who was there to fight at 140 for Pac? Chavez has guys in his OWN weight class that he refuses to fight.. That is the point.

Whoever said Sergio got low balled is a complete idiot, there was never any talk to of doing the fight, at least not yet. Also, Sergio should get low balled, last time they each had fights in the NY area, Sergio drew like 3,000 Cotto got 20,000 there is only ONE draw in that fight and it isn't Sergio.

Secondly, Chavez vs Cotto at 160 is a decent fight, Chavez might be a Jr. but he is much bigger than his father and he is even bigger than Margarito. The size disparity in this fight makes up for the lack of experience and just overall fighting ability for Jr. Also, anyone saying Cotto should just challenge Sergio doesn't know their ass from their elbow. Cotto JUST moved up to 154, facing Sergio at 160 right now is suicide, at 160 at anytime I don't have Cotto beating Sergio. My question is that Sergio stated he would move down to 155 to face Cotto for the belt, since it came from his mouth I say Cotto should do it. However, if someone came to me and said 2 million for Sergio or 5 million for Chavez Jr, I'll take the easier fight for more money any day of the week. Also, all this is just filler till we got Cotto/Margarito II when that c*nts face actually works properly again. Everyone knows Bob is greedy as **** and thats the fight he wants to make because its the biggest fight in boxing behind pac/floyd.

But, this would be terrible career decision as well for Cotto. Jr middle has more options for Miguel: possible unifications vs Bundrage or Dzinziruk, a ring title vs Cintron, possible future mega-fights vs Ortiz or Alvarez, or even Berto moving up, Margarito II or even Pacquiao II if deemed a worthy fight. Maybe even a comeback fight for Floyd. Cotto has never cleaned out a division or unified titles, why not try to claim Jr middle first?
Co-sign. What the hell is he gonna look like at 160? The positives outweigh the negatives if he stays at 154. He doesn't have any leverage at 160, he might even get KO'ed. I love how some people are saying he shouldn't get credit. Why shouldn't he get credit? Cuz Chavez Jr. is unproven? Is that anyone's fault? He has to defend the title against SOMEBODY. Although, I would agree that Cotto shouldn't be the 1st person in line for a title shot. But, we all know how Arum plays the game, so if Cotto doesn't fight Margarito, then Jr. it is.
