Look people. All Hopkins wants is 20 defences. After he destroys Howard Eastman, he'll have that. Then the part of him wanting to fulfill his legacy will be taken care of. Afterwards he'll be open to many options. In an interview, he once said, "I see Tarver in my future." With Tarver out of the way maybe he'll chase after Johnson, what do you all think?

As you saw tonight,Johnson is a better fighter than he was 7yrs ago.If Hopkins moved up to 175,I think Johnson gets his revenge.

I think Johnson Vs Hopkins will happen. Howard Eastman is the 20th defence of the title for Hop and after that the only options are Winky Wright, Winner of Tito Vs Sturm and Jermain Taylor. Winky is too dangerous and not worth the risk because the money would be slack. Tito would be a decent pay day and low risk considering Hopkins made Tito his ***** last time so that is the big possible but with Hopkins peope assume its all money. i don`t think so. Its pride too. The fact that Hop is the only man to stop Johnson ( and the first to beat him ) would entice Hop to fight him, since now he is for all intents and purposes he is the undisputed lightheavy champ. Taylor is montary crap and really no point. Johnson at least has a case that he has improved with age and is probably 2004`s fighter of the year. He could also argue that he would like to avenge the Hopkins loss. And as a side note, Hopkins has been feeding on all the non desript middleweights for yrs, only till he battled Tito and De La Hoya did he get treated as pound for pound potential. Johnson is a very easy fight for Bernard. He toyed with him in the first fight between them and i don`t see much difference the 2nd time ( Johnson has improved but style wise Hopkins will counter hin at will ).
I wouldn`t be surprised if Hopkins fights Johnson for the IBO lightheavy title in September and wins a boring 12 rd Dec. Personally though, considering Johnson`s heart even if Glen lost he`d put up a fight, unlike that Puetro Rican Nard punch bag who looked like a dazed and confused little boy 3 yrs back!

Corrales i think didn`t beat Casaymor on merit, i think it was more or less a draw and Feretas was always overrated. Corrales is not in the same class as say a Tommy hearns or a Ray Leonard. He may win the odd fight against a decent fighter but any man who beats women doesn`t deserve any award even if he had beaten Tsyzu, Hatton and Cotto this year. Bastard should be still behind bars. The only KO that comes to mind when reflecting on this piece of **** is the one he scored over his girlfriend in the fall of 2000. I hope he gets a beating like the one Mayweather gave him, then i hope he retires and goes to prison. ****ing woman beater!

Without a doubt Glen Johnson is fighter of the year, he earned everything he got in his career from hard work and determination.

When THE RING made Toney its FIGHTER OF THE YEAR (2003)for the second time, one of only a handful who got that distinction twice (the very short list includes Ray Robinson, Ali and Holyfield), it was because Toney came back from career grave. That's why he was also awarded COMEBACK FIGHTER OF THE YEAR, the first time that both awards went to one recipient.

Johnson came practically from NOWHERE, and that's a worse place to have come from!

I think Nigel and company would seriously consider him. IMHO, he has better than a good shot at FIGHTER OF THE YEAR 2004.
