If your point is making money, then you have to look at total dollars grossed over the entire year. Considering Pac generally fights twice a year plus multiple endorsement deals, Pacquiao makes more money. If Mayweather was more active, and less frequently in trouble he might in fact currently make more money than Pacquiao each year. However, he does not. Yes but for the purposes of this thread which was a fan attempting to say Pacquiao still gets owned, total dollars does count. Now if Mayweather has had two fights in the span of however many years, he's just not making nearly as much money.

And my post simply states Pacquiao is pulling in more actual dollars, so while saying one gate is worth more than another may be true. It's not worth much if the fighter with the higher gate never fights and has few if any endorsement deals.

Even if they were to fight and Mayweather earned the higher portion of the split, it would not be enough to compensate and make Mayweather the overall higher paid athelete.

Pacquiao generated more money, these #s are released every year and Pacquiao is one of the highest paid atheletes. Mayweather has been MIA in recent years. However, if Mayweather was as active as Pacquiao I don't doubt he would make more money.

To further explore this thread.. I think to really have a single answer as to which is better. Being the higher paid fighter or making the most money, it would have to be clarified. This thread however did not do that.
