Originally posted by tracyleeOkay, I usually agree with you 9 times out of 10, so I guess this is that one time that I dont. How was it a cheap win? I mean, everyone kept talking like Jones dominated him completely in the first fight as expected...and that same "has been" just beat a heavy wt. Like Ruiz or not (and I dont) he is a real heavy wt...so, everyone was going on and on over that victory...then Tarver ko's him and all of a sudden it's only cause Jones was shot?? I dont get that...could it not be that Tarver just happens to have that type of style; a style that would give Jones problems no matter when they fought?? I mean, in all fairness..you dont have to like Tarver to admit that. And nobody said a word about Jones being "done for"...hell, no where near it, until Tarver beat him. That's just not fair to Tarver...not at all

Roy Jones Jr. has nothing to prove to anyone, he was perhaps the most skilled (reflex and speed + power wise) fighter of any decade and maybe even in any division....

Originally posted by tracyleeVery true, and I agree (thats just not what the discussion was about though) It was about exactly when Jones had become "done"...if it was before or after the Tarver fights; not if he needed to prove himself even more
