I had it the same as harold letterman except I had Tarver winning the 11th as well as the 12th.
Also, at the end of the 4th or 5th (I can't remember right now), Johnson was winning the round before Tarver schooled him during the last minute and especially the last 30 seconds. I didn't want to, but I gave that round to Tarver as well.
Tarver was landing clean punches at the end of the fight and a lot of them, even though there wasn't that much power behind them.
Johnson had many of his late round punches blocked.
And I don't think that I am being biased because I wanted Johnson to win, but I was surprised that he did.
All in all, this fight was too close for both of them to be happy with the decision.
I would watch the rematch, but not if it was a PPV main event, wheich is probably what they think right now.
I see why JPBoxer is such a huge Johnson fan. Man, this fight was exciting because of one man: Glen Johnson!! He pressed the action and forced the fight to be an exciting brawl + boxing match. Johnson is amazing, working as a construction worker to support his boxing career and finally getting the glory. He knows what hard work is like. And such a humble guy. WHOOOOOOOOOO!! WHAT A FIGHT! WHOOOOOOOO!! YEAH!!!!!!!
I think there is an argument for Tarver to win, for sure. But there was absolutely no robbery. Johnson could have legitimetly won that fight, no question.
These goddamned judges are INCOMPETENT. This fight was not even close.
Tarver whipped up on this guy who has very few skills.
Are you serious? Say that Tarver won and you have a legitimate argument. But to say that Tarver laid a whoopin on Johnson is almost non-sensical. Tarver got as good as he gave. Close fight, and not a corrupt decision.
