Yes. All his fights at MW follow the same pattern, lose the first 3 rounds through inactivity with high guard and absorb shots to the arms and gloves. Then unleash rapid power punches when his opponents attacks slow down on the counter. I rarely saw him lead off and initiate in any of his fights. At SMW against Dirrell and especially Froch that simply wasn't good enough but at MW he was strong enough for all his opponent which that style.
