that's good, although a risk of getting yourself ko'd, it helps if you have an iron chin and power or the other guy has stamina issues or a weak chin

        good

Guys who fight on the outside and in spots. Roy Jones Jr or Sergio Martinez are counter puncher's worse nightmare. They don't give you too much to counter and it's very hard to time them because they are so unorthodox.

I think relentless pressure is a horrible style because a good counter punch will eventually figure you out and then counter you to death. Marquez vs. Katsidis is an excellent example of this.

Smart pressure is def true. Ambush style of fighting mixed with Feints to where it disrupts the Counter Puncher's rhythm.

Jones Jr, Martinez, Pascal, Haye each are a counter punchers' worst nightmare.

Cutting off the ring is rather irrelevant against a counterpuncher because they work at the center of the ring or at the ropes. Counterpunchers have a difficult time facing their own styles. Usually the faster one wins.

awkward/unorthodox styles. Counter-punchers rely on being able to predict where an attack is coming from and its target, awkward punchers can catch them by surprise.

Also, good feinters can mess with counter-punchers causing them to flinch and/or second guess throwing a counter

so the best way to beat a counter-puncher is to become a counter-puncher?
