The legal hits continue for Floyd Mayweather Jr. According to the Las Vegas Sun, the boxer is now facing a lawsuit in Clark County District Court in Las Vegas. Nightclub bouncer Clay Gerling filed suit claiming that an unidentified bodyguard working for Mayweather roughed him up when the boxer was asked to present indentification on January 2 at Drai’s at Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon on the Las Vegas Strip.

What am I missing here? Some US law maybe?

In the USA, other than for under-age drinking, why would you be asked for ID?

I sometimes really wonder whether this is just a whole collective attempt to coax Mayweather into going back to boxing for money...

I mean, I'm sure the domestic dispute is legit, but as for these recent allegations, they just seem frivolous and like a desperate attempt to gain a few hundred dollars...
