All these posts and no one has touched on the main problem with Richardson: the man doesn't believe in world class sparring. Not even middle of the road sparring. Just like before the Mayweather fight, Naazim said that **** about if a sparring partner was good enough to emulate Pacquiao, they'd be defending a world title somewhere. And that gives him an excuse to throw his sons Bear and Rock Allen in as the lead partners, along with his nephews, the Dargans. And just like the Mayweather fight, Mosley had no idea how to handle world class speed, power, and skill come fight night.

With that said, Naazim is a great trainer in my eyes. Mosley is simply finished, and there's not much he can do to revive him.

It's funny, because EVERYBODY was so taken with Naz and were swinging so hard on his nuts after that spectacular few months he had where B-Hop and Shane spanked Pavlik and Margarito respectively.

They were was so charmed by his idiosyncratic way with words and metaphor and were hailing him as one of the GREAT trainers of the last era.

All of a sudden, it was incredibly au courant to dig ****m among the fistic hipsters on this forum and you apparently didn't know **** if you didn't think he was the most cerebrally, scientifically, psycho-socially, chemically, biologically, electro-magnetically brilliant manipulator of human fighting consciousness in the boxing game.

Gorilla Productions even gave him his very own (slim) highlight video, for goodness' sake.

Thankfully, all that has totally blown over now.

The man knows his boxing. He's mentally very keen. He's a solid trainer.

He hasn't done anything to show us he's a Great trainer...yet.

Naazim is nothing but a motivational speaker, not a trainer, he does the same thing Bundini Brown did for Ali, keep him hype, cheerful, motivated. Bowie was Hopkins trainer, Naaz was just Bundini in the background. Hopkins made the switch cause he dont need a trainer anymore, just a motivater. Shane actually needs someone to show him how to fight certain styles and opponents, Naaz cant help him there

Naazim is one of the best in the business...hands down....Shane and Naazim has been a team for 4 fights....Shane went 1-2-1 in those fights...the L's came against boxing's elite...Shane is a vet a future HOF'er...so at times he might have trouble TRUSTING Naazim imo...it seems like Naaz is sometimes TRYING to convince Shane that this or that will work....smh

You can't train a turtle to win a horse race. Naazim is alright, it's just that Mosley is pathetic at this point in his career. It is disappointing that ****m couldn't (or refused) to see this from the Mayweather fight...

Thats why there is no footage on Fightcamp or 24/7, Shanes training is bowling, twitter, and chasing da panties.
Ok, but what about Cus Damato. Great trainer and he didn't need to get into the ring. He had greats like Floyd Patterson, Ricardo Torres, and Mike Tyson. Twice in his career he made the youngest heavyweight champion with Patterson and Tyson. People have different styles when it comes to teaching. So I look at there accomplishments and if they are winning and their fighters are improving then great. Some trainers and fighters don't work well together. Prime example Emmanuel Steward and Jermain Taylor. Before Steward got their Taylor came up the ranks and won the undisputed middleweight title. When Steward got there, yes they won some credible fights but Steward got frustrated in a couple of fights with Taylor because he wasn't listening to him. Steward is probaly one of the greatest trainer of all time but Taylor kept on resorting back to bad habits in the ring that exposed himself and left him open. But to say Richardson is a lousy trainer, I have to disagree.
