We are also getting good fights in Klitschko vs. Haye, super six, bantamweight tournament, Hopkins/Pascal and I believe Rios vs. Antillion is going to be amazing.
State better than last year IMO. New blood coming up.

Who the hell should Pacquaio fight?

        Mayweather doesn't want it.

Martinez is a big light middleweight, and is probably a step too far.

        Ortiz doesn't stand a chance.

Bradley has contractual issues, and will get blown out early.

        He's already beat -

        Cotto
        Margarito
        Clottey
        Hatton
        De La Hoya

Add to this an already HOF worthy career in the lower weights.

As far as I'm concerned Pacquaio has earned the right to fight anyone he likes. If boxing wants to see Pacquaio in competitive fights, it needs to produce fighters that can be competitive against him. Simply put, he makes good fighters look bad. The only person who stands a chance against him is Mayweather and he doesn't want the fight. In light of Mayweather's plain refusal to lace up the gloves, Mosley is a decent alternative and at least fight will be an exciting spectacle while it lasts. This stands in stark contrast to the snoozefest that was Mayweather - Mosley.

Last year was just piss poor horrible. I honestly remember thinking to myself that boxing is gonna go the dirt by next year. Gladly I was wrong, and so far for the best 6 months we had some real good fights and alot of knockouts and upsets.

Haye vs Klitchko, Sergio Martinez, Khan vs Bradley/Judah , Ward v Abraham, Froch vs Johnson, Pascal vs Hopkins is the reason why boxings near state is good.

Pacquiao fighting recently beaten fighters, Mayweather vacationing and would rather watch Lady Gaga then watch PAC vs Mosley, Bob Arum, PPV, Donaire's promoter problems, BS alphabet champs, blind judges, questionable stoppages, and lack of mainstream exposure is the reason boxing needs to step it's game up.

Agree, I think it's mainly the upsets:

              Morales vs Chino
              Berto vs Ortiz
              Lopze vs Salido
and of course "Iron Mike" Ishida vs Kirkland

also the performance by Donaire over Montiel.

The PPV model has really hurt boxing the last two decades, and HBO's boxing program has really been run into the ground.

Arum is a snake, but he's really been looking to innovate in the sport, especially the past few years. He's been doing worlds of good compared to his chief rival.

GB... enemy of boxing. Starbuilders. All they've been doing is looking to make the next prettyboy boxing superstar mini-DLH at the cost of quality fights. The only time a non prettyboy gets anything is if he upsets one of their prospects.

Its not great, but could be much worse.
