Head gear might be more dangerous in the pro`s. Although a punch is absorbed of its power with head gear the head is still jolted. Headgear could cause a fighter to absorb too much punishment and not know it because of the leather protection. Even though a fighter may not feel the intensity of a punch they still have their head rocked and brain bounced inside the skull. I feel headgear would be more dangerous because of this. When a fighter gets knocked out, its because the brain shuts off as it is taking too much. If the brain doesn`t switch off, then it'll be damaged.
