    Lol typical *******.

Ortiz is bigger than Pacquiao, and Mayweather, and Berto, and Mosley. Ortiz is the biggest WW of the top 5 WW's. He is 5'9" and weighed 165lbs vs Peterson at 140, and 162lbs vs Berto @ 147. He is far from small. I wouldn't be surprised to see him fighting Alvarez at 154 by the end of 2012. He's going to outgrow WW quickly.

Yes, he has definitely slowed down a bit, but i think at this point he doesn't want to waste any energy unless he have to. When you bull-rushing him with 1-2-3 punches, he'll use his feet. If you're throwing 1-2's at far distance range, then he'll stand flatfooted and use his upper body and head movements waiting breaking a sweat.

I actually think he will come right at Manny. I see him closing the distance, and smothering Manny and working on the inside.

        I lold.

On a side note: Ortiz sure is a good choice for floyd but I do know he's not a ppv material and if they really are gonna fight I dont think it's gonna be in Dallas.

        • It seems like Floyd is willing to fight anyone except the one who every one wants him to fight.

And Ortiz vs Floyd will be horribly boring. It will be like Baldomir vs floyd all over again.

I think it'd be a bad idea. Even if he has body and head movements, Manny would have the total advantage to throw multiple combos because how close the gap would be between them both. It might work because Manny has shorter reach compared to Mosley, even Mosley had to lean his upper body forward to threw some of his punches against Floyd even though they stood at close range within each other. Nonetheless, i don't like it and i hope Floyd doesn't use that game plan because it's the exact same one Manny's recent opponents (Excluding Clottey) has tried.

I'd be down for this fight a "tune up" but only if Mayweather actually sticks around to fight. But he won't so me talking about this is pointless.
Floyd ALWAYS follows a tune up with a "real" fight. He himself called Marquez a tune up, and 3 months later he signs to fight with Mosley, a fight people wanted to see at the time.

So if he considers Ortiz a tune up and wins, then I believe he will sign to fight a "real" fight soon after[Ortiz is as real as it gets though, I wouldn't call him a tune up]. Maybe a fight against Pacquiao, if Pacquiao agrees to OST, and doesn't sign to fight the winner of Cotto-Margarito II or some other BS fight. But you know with Arum on the way, all of this is easier said than done.

                  You just described Manny Pacquiao.

                  Fight Mosley[late 2009]: No it's okay i'll fight Cotto at 145.

Fight Berto at 147 or Marquez at 140: No it's okay i'll fight Mosley now.

Okay at least fight Ortiz after Mosley: Na i'll fight Marquez at 147.

                  • Anything is better than watching Pacquiao vs Mosley.

Sad even Lady Gaga is better.
