It was more a comment about the guy I was responding to. He was like Floyd is fighting a legit WW, as if to say Pac isn't fighting a legit WW. Well, if you want to call a 3 time, career WW fighter not legit and a guy that has so far had one fight at WW legit, then that sounds like a personal opinion because factual WW fight data doesn't support that.

In terms of whether or not Ortiz is a a guy that can be a solid WW competitor, I'd say he can be and is much better off at 147 than 140. I took his post as a reference to Pac fighting an "old and shot Mosley" and Floyd is fighting a young, well-established, WW contender.....that is just not true.

How is Mosley a legitimate WW when he has ONE win at WW since February 2007? That's one win in over 4 years.

There is a big drop off after Floyd and Pacquiao. Seriously Ortiz is number 2 for beating a hypejob named Andre Berto(I been calling berto a hypejob ever since Collazo exposed and got robbed). Berto never beat a real champion and got his belt from vacancy. Then add that berto never beaten a top 10 welter, and was cherry picking fighters from 140 to move up at 147.

Now ask yourself this. Before berto, Ortiz drawed against peterson and quit against maidana and now you expect me to think this is going to be a good fight even though Ortiz has 0 defense, has questionable chin, questionable heart, and iffy stamina and is known to fight like an idiot, is going to make this a competitive fight.



Yes shane fight is dumb too because i hated that fight and i rather pacquaio fight Bradley, Floyd or risk his life in a fight with Martinez and try to make history. But Ortiz is right now the most overrated fighter at 147. Yes i am happy that Ortiz exposed Berto overrated hype job ass, but because of this fight, we will never know how good Ortiz is really is because this will ruin his career since i know floyd is going to embarass him and make him look like a complete bum.
