    i like this fight

is it a great fight? no

floyd/manny or floyd/sergio are great fights

    floyd/ortiz is a good fight.

lol i remember after the berto/ortiz fight, people were saying floyd wouldn't fight ortiz. now this fight is BS.

strange that Richard Schaeffer hasnt made an official announcement. also peculiar is that Floyd Mayweather's camp in the past has expressed reluctance in fighting in Texas because of the xylocaine prohibition in that state. Floyd may be a draw, but Ortiz helping fill up a stadium?

I'd be careful to believe it until it's official.

And what fights were Those. He only did it for 1 fight.

Seriously dudes need to check themselves before they start talking out their azz.

Lol, I finally have 100% proof that Pacquiao fans are NOT fans of boxing. I just can't believe they would trade or Ortiz this quickly, there gonna make up every excuse on why Ortiz sucks over the next couple of weeks

It was more a comment about the guy I was responding to. He was like Floyd is fighting a legit WW, as if to say Pac isn't fighting a legit WW. Well, if you want to call a 3 time, career WW fighter not legit and a guy that has so far had one fight at WW legit, then that sounds like a personal opinion because factual WW fight data doesn't support that.

In terms of whether or not Ortiz is a a guy that can be a solid WW competitor, I'd say he can be and is much better off at 147 than 140. I took his post as a reference to Pac fighting an "old and shot Mosley" and Floyd is fighting a young, well-established, WW contender.....that is just not true.
