I can't wait for the fight, but I'm not big on finding and bumping threads. I leave that to people who enjoy petty pleasures like that....
personally, I just make new threads eating crow when deservedComment

Maybe he was acting? He does have a history of faking injury to recover and/or get points deducted?
I can't speak about the Jones fight as i have not seen it but when Pascal hit him in the back of the head yes he went down but it didn't look like it hurt him at all, he was back on his feet no problem. As long as that stays the same and the ref is neutral being 'vulnerable' to rabbit punching has no relevance at all does it?Comment

so you haven't even seen the Jones-Hopkins fight??? Hopkins went down to his knees like 5 times during that fight from LIGHT shots to the back of his head. The pascal shot in the first round hopkins was lunging in and the shot hit him on the back of the head and knocked him off balance. In the jones fight they were not like that at all, very light and common stuff that happens in almost every fight during clinches. If he was acting it made no sense since he was way ahead on the scorecards and jones was doing nothing.Maybe he was acting? He does have a history of faking injury to recover and/or get points deducted?

Again, you sigging that quote is totally out of context and for you to have not even seen the Jones-Hopkins fight further adds that you don't even really know what I'm talking about.
There is a huge difference from deliberate rabbit punches - those are dangerous and can hurt any man - and between light touches to the head during clinches, which visually seemed to affect hopkins. Like I said one writer after the fight even stated, "it appears hopkins has a glass back of the head." It was probably meant to be a joke but at the same time it did raise concerns about a 45 year old hopkins. He did not look right in that fight against jones at all. There were a lot of people calling for Hopkins retirement immediately after, including Richard Schaefer. That's part of the reason it was so amazing that he was able to put on a great performance against PascalLast edited by ИATAS; 05-05-2011, 12:10 PM.Comment
