i did triple check to make sure there was no error. that opponent had weighed as much as 450, and was coming off for straight kayo wins (in mississippi, against nobodies, obviously)
Here he is, fighting that 398 pound guy you mentioned:

he is horribly inexperienced and to be honest chinny so why not bring him along slower to ensure he learns his craft
I pity you. He's American and he's black.

Wilder would be so much better if he had stayed in the amateurs to try and fine tune his skills. But I heard he was having some financial problems which pretty much forced him to turn Pro. I personally have no problem with him being fed these bums. It's not like he was some decorated amateur with lots of hype. He's still only 25 which is young for a HW. He has little amateur background and is still a work in progress. I just hope he can get himself a trainer to teach him how to use his reach and height properly. I hope he can pack on a few pounds too. 6'7" at 220 is way to skinny, IMO.

He also has good power in his right hand...Obviously he hasn't fought anyone yet so we don't know how good his power truly is, but I think it should carry over to the next level of competition.

He should just spend the next 2 years trying to get his fundamentals down. He needs to work on his jab, timing, footwork, etc. He has all the physical tools to be a champion at HW... At this point it's just a matter of him trying to put it all together.
