BoxingScene.com has been advised that former junior middleweight interm champion Nobuhiro Ishida (23-6-2) and former title challenger Deandre Latimore (22-3) are under serious consideration to face former champion Paul Williams on July 9th. The fight will be Williams first since his 2nd round TKO loss to Sergio Martinez this past November.

Someone is going to fight him at some point. Better Williams than Martinez, who no doubt would get overpaid for that defense imo. Then again this is Haymon and Williams we are talking about so Williams might get overpaid too.

I think Kirkland is likely to get an Ishida rematch.

And considering the lack of big names at 160, I don't see why Williams-Martinez 3 wouldn't be a viable option for both guys in the near future.
