Not to mention if you win your guaranteed a multi million dollar fight with wladdy
Do you honestly think any version of Arreola would have beaten Vit Klit that night? His loss in that fight came down to being outclassed, having no idea how to cut off the ring, jab his way onto the inside, move his head or any of the other groovy things that might have given him a fleeting chance.

I mentioned before this fight that this would be a mismatch, and it had nothing to do with Arreola's weight.

I could forgive him a little for the Vitali fight -- no shame in losing to VK, but he really messed up for Adamek, who he could have (should have?) beaten, had he not been blown off 3 weeks of training camp.

His domestic problems with his wife used to send him on a spiral of drinking and eating -- he hopefully has those resolved now.

No -- Vitali had the perfect gameplan for CA, and utlilzed lateral movement that his critics claimed he didn't have. VK's footwork was very impressive in that fight. He constantly made Arreola reset and then he teed off on him.

            Well stated.

It just shows you what a joke the current heavyweight division is.

Arreola made mistakes and there's nothing he can do about the past now. What he does from now on is what matters.

If he gets in shape and strings a few solid wins together, no one will care anymore about what he did in the past.

It's good that Arreola is finally in some kind of fighting shape, but it's sad that this is a news story at all. If only he could have been more dedicated earlier in his career.

WTF? Vitali don't run so how does cuting off the ring come up.jabing a taller and longer fighter don't make now sense dude.power shots going upward don't have the same sting as your weight going down.thats what happened really,he should have worked the body more and then power shots which couldn't be done cause of his weight and energy loss.
