JMM was just a tuneup after 2 years off.

At least Floyd didn't fight Golden Johnson or Micheal Jennings...LOL..

Those are the type of fighers Cotto and Margarito call tuneups.

No it wasn't, as a tuneup who else would you have considered worthy at the time? Also Floyd wanted to prove a point, by easily dominating one of Pac's toughest opponents.

I thought Marquez punch connect was about 8% but i could be wrong long long time since i watched it..

Just looked it up Marquez landed 12% of his punches, Floyd landed 60%

Also, taking into account their styles I doubt many punches were threw in that fight.

good 2nd point point but fighting a blown up light weight (lets be real marquez is a 130 fighter) is really really bad. If he wanted a tune up that bad, gb has plenty of average/decent 147 guys, he could haqve fought someone like berto

sparring gets rid of ring rust mate, the tune up thing was an excuse made out by floyd to defend the fight after it. All floyd wanted was money as he was in the deep end with taxes while at the same time he wanted low risk as possible

dont make me start on the bs fights cotto has, if pacman or floyd fought the level of guys cotto did, both would be ****d 100 times over on this board yet people like cotto get away with it

              JMM was a tuneup fool.

Golden Johnson wasn't a WW when the "most feared man in boxing" fought him.

              JMM > Berto

A great smaller fighter is better than a bigger bum any day of the weak.

a lightweight would get mauled by most decent ww you fool

he wasnt a tune up, he was a regular floyd fight because he is scared of a true challenge against a prime fighter in their best condition like pac, cotto or margo
