Come on man, Marquez lost every round. There was nothing impressive about that performance on either side except Floyd UD'ing the guy.

I can agree with this.

I would have preferred if Marquez worked his way up the weight classes before he fought Mayweather.

But I guess money talks, it was a tune up fight, Floyd wanted to out do Pac, and also no one knew how Marquez was going to be at the higher weight class - for all we know he could have been a better fighter, Ortiz for example.

Also, if it wasn't for Marquez, Shane wouldn't have landed that bomb on Mayweather Jr in R2.

And I was actually quite impressed with how many times Marquez was able to tag Floyd in ways I barely see any other fighter do. It actually frustrated Floyd a lot.

I reckon, both fighters at their best weight would have been a great boxing match - I still think Floyd would take it, but it would have been so much more exciting say at 130 or 135.

Still, the more I watch Marquez, the more I rate him as a boxer... deffo a future HOF.

You obviously did not watch the fight because you would have noticed Floyd made Marquez look like a class D fighter..That guy was target practice and weight had nothing to do with that.

bull**** had everything to do with it.

The added weight to marquez slowed him out alot, add the fact that marquez reflex suffered along with it.

The main reason for 144 was to weaken floyd and slow him down to make the fight fair.
