    Should Abner fight Nonito?

If so who would win? Abner is currently my favorite since he has proved he has heart, chin, skill and can slug it out. On the other hand i know Nonito is just a monster and has speed, skill and too much power for the lower classes. I have a feeling Nonito might move up to super..(it's just a hunch). If ever i think they should box it out..thing is i have no clue who would win. Both have speed but i think the only way Abner could win is on points, meanwhile Nonito could win by ko or points. Plus it seems like Nonito carries his brutal power(Kochulito and Sidorenko). Also, it seems to me that Abner has a horrible time with Southpaws, just look at Vic. Perhaps its because Vics stance is awkward but Abner has only fought 2 southpaws in his pro career. Anyway Nonito and Abner are both greats! Who would win?

Its good fight i which Nonito would be the favorite. But GB would need to build it up so i dont see it happening too soon.

i would favor Nonito to win over Mares, Abner is "predictable" if were looking thru Donaire's perspective

Mares is tailor made for him

right..i'm just saying if it all falls into place. Plus nonito is having a tough time with Arum so it might not even happen at all. Plus i also think he'll move up in weight sooner or later..so the chances of this fight are slim

I would love to see this fight. Would be an epic war. I just think Donaire is at a whole other level then everybody else in that weight class and would pick mares apart until he put him to sleep.

I think he will be unbeatable unless he keeps going up and runs into Gamboa.

Exactly my point..now i know i made the thread but honestly...i dont see anyone stopping Nonito until he hits Featherweight. I mean look at his build and skill, but I think Abner is a monster also. I think speed is close it's just po(w)er. So honestly idk

nonito stops him, abner is not ready imo, that or nonito is just on another level. either way, nonito takes it.

I like Abner and he would definitely take on the challenge but Nonito is on a whole other level. I'd like to see Nonito move up and start paving the road sooner than later for eventual match ups with Gamboa and JuanMa

I agree...so im guessing no one has as high hopes for Abner as i do? Well do any of you see potential in him of maybe one day developing into a Mexican Great? Cause i know Donaire is headed towards greatness(if his wife doesnt intervene).

I would favor Nonito. Donaire's handspeed and footspeed would be too much. Not in the way that Abner would be outclassed. But with the speed that Donaire has in hand and foot, he would just have more control of when and where the exchanges occur. If he finds a strong weakness in Mares' game plan then he can possibly end the night early. If not, he'll just use his speed to gain points for a decision.

But just like with Montiel/Donaire, I just want to see this fight because both fighters are great to watch.
