To me, it's a matter of how well Canelo's chin holds up until around rounds 9-10. If it does, he wins a decision. Otherwise, Ortiz by knockout. If Jose Cotto could hurt Canelo like that, I'm sure Victor can. Plus Canelo has a squared up stance and fits perfect for Ortiz's southpaw style, so I think he's hittable.
This...also, Canelo needs to do something to get some speed, he seems to be getting slower and slower.

This would be a Huge fight for GB is both fighters continue winning. It needs a good buildup, but Ortiz is more skilled and even though he is comming from a smaller weigh class I beleive he would atleast match Canelos power. And thats bad news for Canelo, Since he got rock by Cotto. Ortiz took a massive hit by berto in the 6th and kept going. I see a war for the first couple of rounds, and the canelo kisses the floor

I actually have to disagree with that. I think he's actually getting a lot faster. His combos were usually 3 punch combos at the most now he's hitting 4-5 punch combos. In my opinion he should really stop working on his speed and start working on his defense because he has none.

Annyways to answer your question Ortiz beats Canelo at 147 without a doubt. At 154? Eh I don't think so.

Wow I can't believe I actually agree with you for once...

I think it will be a war. Alavrez will make it exciting and competitive but I think Ortiz squeeks this one out on the scorecards.

At any weight, Ortiz beats Canelo even if Ortiz is ****ting water before the fight

you Guys serious? Ortiz makes this dude quit by round 5. Canelo has NO defense and would get hit with bomb after bomb from ortiz at any weight.

I really like both these guys and i rate them too. IF Canelo wasnt drained at 147 (and i think he would be) i think Ortiz gets him outta there, too fast basically. J.Cotto had him out on his feet and he is far less explosive and powerfull than Victor. Its a two horse race for sure but i like Ortiz he really showed his metal against Berto who is better than some around here care to admit

Might be too much of a step up fpr Alvarez and I dont think 147 makes it fair.

At 147 Ortiz beats a weight drained Saul.

                      At 154 Alvarez stops Ortiz.
I don't know about all that.

Ortiz would have killed Mathew Hatton....anybody would have.
