That's easy... Because puertoricans have the greatest ratio per capita of boxing champions by a huge margin in the world. Mexico has 110+ million ppl in Mex compared to 3.5 million in PR. One more thing, puertoricans have won lot more fights against mexicans in title fights... They cannot accept that...

Great post I read post on here but rarely comment cus most people on here just make ignorant comments without backing them up with facts. You just stated many of the reasons why mexicans are so bitter and got sooo much hate towards boricuas. They dont even hate gringos as much and they took land from them and are part of the reason mexico is so screwed up. All we did was beat them in boxing.

I agree with Cotto, Gomez was the greatest Boricua fighter of all time, to those of you saying Tito, your obviously young and never saw Gomez.

Gomez was an amazing fighter, speed, power, quickness he had it all.
