In my book he beat ali, knocked him down with a devestating left hand, then dundee helped ali to the corner, illegal, used smelling salts to bring him around then possibly delayed the start of the 5th. All underhand tactics that either should of resulted in dq or ali getting sparked without the cheating.Comment

Oh. My. God.
If you're not British it's hard to imagine just what a monumental figure he was in the public sporting consciousness. I remember seeing him on TV when I was a wee tot (he'd long retired by then) and even at that time I was struck by how warm, genuine and funny he was, like an affable grandad. He was one of those figures who have become so ingrained in the cultural landscape that you think he'll be around forever, which is why I'm genuinely shocked and saddened by his death.
Whatever you may have thought about him as a fighter (and some of the comments I've read have been less than tactful) you simply cannot fault him as a role model and absolute gentleman.
RIP Sir Henry Cooper. You were one of the greats.

Btw, he is a part of the legend of boxing...Ali is the greatest fighter of all time...He was the first man to test and floor Ali.
He was a good and proud an european champion.
