Nope. You get KO'd at 147 Manuel.
Floyd coasted on you and shut you out (with a knockdown added to boot).
Pacquiao will show nothing like that kind of mercy and carry you for 12 rounds, and you can't hurt him now if he's saying **** like he didn't feel Cotto's punches.
This 'physically' isn't the same fighter you faced, even if he still has the technical flaws from your fights.Comment

Marquez has to be the bravest hombre to take on Pacquiao at 147lbs. That's who the man is, so let's see him try.
Marquez is more popular than Mosley. So if Mosley gets 5mill, Marquez should get 5-7mill. But to ask for a 50-50, which he did late last year, is down right ridiculous so Pacman had the right to say no.
147lbs. Great! Pacman might only weigh in around 144 to be honest with you. He needs more speed to beat Marquez. And Marquez needs to be around 140 or maybe 138 to be in good condition to fight Pacman. But Pacman is just too much for Marquez at this point in time. Pacman 7-10TKO, but don't count Marquez, he does have a superior condition just like the Pacman, plus he is durable. He wasn't even hurt against Mayweather. When he got knocked down by Mayweather, it was Marquez who fought back rather than Mayweather to go for the kill.Comment

JENNA: People out there and everyone in the boxing world really want to see a fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao. We talked about it before and how much money Mayweather has been wanting for it, but what do you think it truly is? Do you think it’s about the money or do you think maybe it’s a case of Mayweather not wanting to fight Pacquiao?
HOLMES: Well I’ll tell you what, I don’t know. I don’t think Mayweather really wants to fight Pacquiao because if somebody offered me $25 million I’m an old man and I’d come out of retirement and fight anybody because that is a lot of money to turn down. Pacquiao gets $25 million. They should go ahead and fight, the same as Mayweather and Mayweather is the one who turned it down . I wouldn’t do that if I was him.
JENNA: Now Pacquiao is a guy who was champion at 112 pounds and now he’s a belt holder at 147. What do you think about him as a fighter and what he’s accomplished being a champion in eight weight classes?
HOLMES: Well I think he covers a lot being a champion, but the hardest thing for him was to move up in weight. You know as long as he moves up in weight and eats the right foods and not tries to burn it off every night that he goes into the gym then I think he’ll be fine, because he can really carry the weight because he has the height. He’s almost about as Mayweather I understand so he’ll be fine. I don’t really see too much of a problem with that and not only that he’s a likeable guy. I think he’s the Governor or something in his country or whatever it is. He holds an office somewhere over there in the Philippines. I think the guy is pretty smart. One thing I don’t like about Pacquiao is I think he trains too hard! You know you can leave it on the field if you train too hard and you don’t want to do that. You want to go in there and you want to have it all the way through that fight.
JENNA: Alright Larry, to change things up a little bit, you mentioned earlier about fighters like Mayweather and Pacquiao. I’m just curious what do you think about those superstars today? I mean besides for asking for the money they are what do you think about the stars of today’s game?
HOLMES: I think it’s great! Anytime you can accomplish something and get the PR and the publicity behind it where people are looking, and wondering, and talking about it. I think it’s great. I don’t envy those guys. They should cherish the moment because this doesn’t happen each and every day. I just hope they wake up, especially Mayweather. , and smell the coffee. Because it’s not every day somebody is going to come offer you $25 million to go out there and get your butt beat or beat somebody up. So therefore he should cherish that moment. I’m happy to see those guys doing it because fighters go through a lot and at the end of the day they don’t have a lot because of promoters, and trainers, and managers, and what not. So I’m hoping that Pacquiao and Mayweather will come out okay. I think they will.Comment

He actually asked for something like this "So if Mosley gets 5mill, Marquez should get 5-7mill"
but then Arum called that figure pricing himself out.
And now that is what they offer him, that shows the pricing out talk from Arum was just an excuse.Comment

I can agree with you on the coming in overweight at a catchweight was disrespectful. Floyd has whupped alot of fighters bad when he was at 130 and moving up. That fight was so easy for him that I don't see why he could not have turned up the heat and whupped Marquez worst. Marquez is definitely my second favorite fighter after Martinez but from watching Floyd for years. He has slowed down alot and if he wanted to, JMM would have been hurt bad. We can agree to disagree on that. Floyd is not known for his KO power? I saw corners stop fights and throw in towels against Floyd. Just cause he is technical doesn't mean he can't turn it up and get you out of there. Just look at the Mosley fight. Floyd after the second round had no issues with Mosley at all. He took Shane's best and weathered it. If he wanted, he could have for sure been the first fighter to KO Shane. Marquez/Pacquiao at 147 will most definitely show the difference between Floyd and Pac.
floyd is so careful that he wouldn't even go all out against marquez in spite of all his advantages. there are advantages/disadvantages to this style of fighting and its up to the fan to see how they look at it.
maybe floyd simply hasn't faced an opponent who's skillful enough to FORCE him to go to the next level.Comment

Floyd has said this himself and he win's his fights so comfortably i can believe it. He outclassed p4p number 2 JMM when he came back from retirement. jmm hardly landed on floyd then he outclassed mosley and showed he was on a completely different level and know one has ever beat them two in that way before. Jmm weighed 142 but the catchweight was 144 so jmm still had speed because he was under weight but couldn't land and was under the official 147 ww which pac will make him fight at which is very unfair for the fans and for jmm.Comment
