boxers don't get paid too much if you look at the whole spectrum of fighters. Sure you can mention the Mayweathers, Pac or w/e but you got to remember you get these guys very rarely compared the other 80% of fighters who don't get paid enough. Not to mention these fighter's careers can end at any moment and can even result in death and long term damage.. receiving blows to the head is part of the job.

If you want to be the best and make a lot of money you need to dedicate your whole life to it at the expense of potential further education, other job prospects and qualifications. This even applies to a sport like soccer, top ten players get paid a lot but they deserve it - lets see anyone get to their level most would fail. Not to mention they bring a lot of revenue to the sport via fans and are of a huge asset to their teams.

So if you happen to be one of the more special athletes, of course you'll get paid a good deal of money just like any entrepreneur who come up with a successful unique service and consequently make a fortune. You try being one of the top 20 fighters in the world and see how incredibly hard you have to work and also gifted.
