Why does HBO still have Larry Merchant calling fights?

it was the fault of max thaT LARRY came back he was on his way out and max was poised to replaced him but max broke down in his interview with floyd he became hyterical like a biaatch when floyd tried to snatch the mic from him, that would never happen with larry, no matter how old and slow he appears the man is badass.

The only time i like Merchant is when he is giving the post fight interview. I know a lot of people think he is great but i just dont see it and never have.

Man they need to get some new blood in there and switch things up a bit. HBO just keeps doing the same thing telecast after telecast the **** is getting lame.

I don't always agree with Merchant but he's earned his spot.

How is Kellerman any more "tactless" than anybody else? Better yet, is Kellerman more tactless than this guy (Lampley)?

No one can ever replace Merchant. The guy says whats on his mind, and what a lot of other people are thinking.

Maybe I'm sentimental, but i grew up watching and listening to him and Lampley call numerous fights. I dont always agree with merchant, but I have tons of respect for the guy.
