Thats right, but if what I said is the case, then he might not have fell off balance if Judah hadn't stood on his foot when the punch landed, so by definition the referee would have been right to not call it a KD because it would have been unfair to call it a KD.
But would he had done it if Judah hadn't stood on his foot? This is the reason why standing on somebodys foot is illigal in Boxing, in this case it was an accident, but it wouldn't have been classed as a KD because the standing on his foot caused him to go off balance more.
If somebody stands on your foot and pushes you and you fell over, just because you fell over doesn't mean you would have done if he hadn't stood on your foot.
He is right in what he is saying though, whether you like it or not.If the official feels something other than a punch was the cause of a fighter touching down, he has a license to use his discretion/common sense and not call a knockdown.
There are angles which clearly show that Judah standing on Floyd's foot caused him to lose balance and touch down momentarily. BattlingNelson has seen these; it's just that they don't help his agenda, so you'd never see him post them.
A knockdown occurs when a boxer, after being hit by his opponent: 1) touches the ring floor with some part of his body other than the feet; 2) has any part of his body outside the ropes; 3) is hanging on the ropes helplessly; or 4) is judged to be in a semi-conscious state and unable to continue fighting.

Round 3 of Berto-Urango. Berto lands one of those dorky uppercuts of doom; as Berto connects, the fighters' legs cross awkwardly causing Urango to stumble and to fall back onto his ass a moment later. Although Urango goes down almost immediately after being hit, it clearly wasn't the punch that put him down.
Good judgement call by the official.
Organizations' rules typically follow thusly (I sample from the WBA here),
"A boxer shall deemed to be "down" when any part of his body, except his
feet, makes contact with the floor of the ring, or when he hangs helplessly
over the ropes as a result of a legal blow according to the judgment of the
referee, who is the only authorized person to determine when a boxer has
suffered a knockdown."
(this from the WBO)
"A contestant shall be considered down when any part of his body, other than his feet, is on the floor, or if he is hanging helplessly over the ropes, and only is held up by the ropes, as the result of a legal blow. Only the Referee may determine whether there has been a knockdown."
^^ The referee has a license to use discretion on calling a knockdown. It's on his discretion. He may make a bad judgement call, but he's entitled to make one in the moment.
Besides which, the Floyd-Judah incident is irrelevant to the topic; it was a balance knockdown and doesn't speak much at all to the question of Floyd's punch-resistance. You trolled. Your boring argument simply doesn't belong in this thread.

Hey, man, there's video on that account taken by me with some friends at a fight. Where can I view any evidence of your "life"? Ohhyeah, all over this board, because NSB and Mayweather topics are all you have.
I apologize for raising my posting style above the usual dry, banal standards for the purposes of entertainment.
Wait. No, I don't. I love annoying humorless goons like you.
