Well, some people think Castillo beat Floyd in their first fight. Either way, it was a close, gruelling fight.

Castillo stopped a lot of guys, he certainly didn't hit with pillows. While he invested to the body a lot, he also landed good headshots on Floyd (including big right hands against the ropes in the 7th and 9th, IIRC). Floyd blinked them off, didn't get stopped, didn't go down, didn't show hurt.


Floyd also engaged in relative brawls in a couple fights, vs. Augustus and Corley. He got tagged up a bit in both of those.

Zab knocked down Floyd. The overhead pic is misleading, the white part of the shoes give the appearance Judah stepped on Floyd's foot. When you see the footage, Zab's foot is actually next to Jr.'s.

And that shot isn't even a measure of chin... Floyd was completely knocked off balance throwing from a perfect intercepting punch.

Mayweather probably has a great chin. Mosley's knocked people out with that type of free shot he landed on Floyd. That's as exposing a punch a man can take to test his jaw.

Yeah, I was waiting for someone to point this out. Apropos of the exchange earlier in the thread I revisited the fight and saw the overhead slow-mo again. Judah's heel touches the inside of Floyd's foot, rather than stepping on it; I was recalling a minimized version of that angle, but in full size you can see there isn't a stamp. Baiting aside, it's a knockdown. Props to Zab.

Buuuuuut, the bold part of your post speaks to why that incident isn't relevant at all to this thread. It was a balance knockdown, owing to how well Judah timed Floyd's uncharacteristically awkward lunge.

Besides which, the incident doesn't speak to the quality of Floyd's punch-resistance in the least, and so isn't relevant to this topic, because Floyd wasn't remotely hurt. BN is just trolling because he hates Floyd, pure and simple.

ive seen just about every if not every floyd fight and hes been hit on numerous occasions and hes been in a few wars. in not gonna start naming the fights because all of the quality posters know them. but to come on here and say his chin hasnt been tested is quite asinine. hes been hit hard by a number of very good punchers and hes brushed shots off. floyd has a very good chin. is it iron? no, but u dont survive over 40 bouts with the types of fighters floyd has fought without getting kd'ed (the judah kd was legit but it was more a timing/balance issue than anything).

I recall him exchanging with Oscar in the last minute of the 12th and taking a HUGE bomb right on the jaw with his mouth open and he just took it. Dude has a very good beard imo.

It would be tested more if he wasnt fighting lower weight fighters the past few years..

But lets look at his last 4 fights.

Shane ROCKED that Chin, makes you wonder what Cotto, Marg, Clottey, and Pac would of done if Floyd fought more Welterweights..

Hatton landed some shots, had Floyd in trouble early but Floyd maintained his balance...

Marquez, didnt have a chance against Floyd PERIOD..

Delahoya landed some good shots but not flush ones..
