Bradley/Alexander, despite being a non-PPV and having a lot of publicity thrown at it, tanked numbers wise. If not for the silly $1.2 million guarantee HBO made Bradley, there's simply no way he'd make that sort of money in his next fight against anybody other than Khan at 140.
The problem is with the fact Bradley can make 1.3 without fighting Khan so he feels he should get more money being this fight is a big one..That is HBO fault not Bradleys..He is doing smart business..I don't know about UK PPV like that but Khans last fight was not on. PPVright??Bradley makes this a big fight just as much(if not more)as Khan does and that's what Bradley brings to the table..Free tickets was giving out to both Bradley vs Alexander and to Khan vs Maidana and fact is 6000 came to the Bradley fight while 4000 came to the Khan fight..

Khan's fight was on PPV in the UK, even after his deal with Sky fell through. All his fights are on PPV here. Now compare what Khan did against McCloskey (17,000 person live gate and whatever in PPV revenue) to what Bradley would do in the US against a similarly unknown opponent. It's clear who is the bigger draw.

I understand the issue with Bradley's guaranteed purse, but disagree that this is smart business. Like I said before, take another fight now and there's no guarantee the Khan fight happens. Both guys could lose, Khan could move to 147 to fight Ortiz, etc. And HBO will not pay Bradley this sort of money again, unless it's against Khan.

Bradley should be looking to fight Khan right now for the same reason Khan should be looking to fight Bradley - because it's the most meaningful fight out there for either guy and a win puts them in better standing for a shot at either Pacquiao or Mayweather.

Let's not forget Khan took a money fight with Paul when he could have just fought Bradley on the same date..

It doesn't make business sense at all because Bradley has NO guarantee that he'll make a higher purse against Khan by delaying the fight any longer. For example, if Bradley fights a weak opponent next, or if he fights a decent opponent but doesn't look impressive, his stock could go down, not up. There's a scenario there which means Bradley could make LESS not MORE.. He has no solid guarantee of making any more money.. the only business here is the business of ducking.

If Khan moves up to fight Ortiz Bradley signs with TR and gets a Pac fight..Bradley does have options besides Khan..IMO I want Bradley Khan right now,but its up to HBO to fix their **** up..Give Bradley 1.20 and get the show on the road..Once again Khan did 17,000 in the UK not in the states..Khan is not really known here as many believe..I'm from NY and I can tell you casual fans do not know Khan..Bradley is trying to get paid I don't know how anybody can fault him for that..

Bradley has other options, you just can't see this because ya love of Khan..

If that's ya stance what was ya stance when Khan took a money fight with that bum that nobody wanted to see??When he could have just fought Bradley??

He couldn't have fought Bradley because Bradley made it clear now that he was just posturing.. He was all bark no bite.. We can see that clear now.. You saying you still believing him about wanting to fight Khan on April 16? How can you still believe that when he's ducking Khan now? Actions speak louder than words, when Khan makes it clear he wants the fight, Bradley heads for the hills.

Khan fought McCloskey in the UK because McCloskey was more well-known than Bradley over there by the general public at large.. Obviously hardcore boxing fans respect Bradley much more than McCloskey but Khan's audience goes way outside your average hardcore boxing fans..

And I don't dislike Bradley, I kinda consider him the legit IBF champ too because Alexander shouldn't be have been stripped by that joke of an organization before their fight.. but it is what is man.. Bradley is ducking now.

Sorry but McCloskey was not known here by the general public at all. As for the vast majority of Khan fans, they're more familiar with Timothy Bradley than McCloskey by a long way. other than being built up as the biggest threat to Khan at 140 by the UK boxing press, don't forget Bradley came over here and beat Junior Witter for his title. McCloskey's biggest fight, on the other hand, has been against obscurity.

Speaking in general, the ridiculous knee-jerk reactions of a lot of posters on this site are kind of embarrassing.

Bradley hasn't signed to fight Khan after, what, a week? OMG! He's ducking him!!!

Ortiz beat a largely unproven Berto? WOW! You next Pacquiao and Mayweather!!!

Pacquiao won a vacant alphabet strap at 154lbs? GTFO! Dude's better than Sugar Ray Robinson!!!

Bradley's just wrangling for the best deal. The fight will happen next.

bradley is making almost as much as marquez made in the katsidis fight and hes making more that berto and martinez in their last fight. its ridiculous how the guy thinks hes worth much more than that.

Tired of this "ducking" word being thrown around so much, as if there isnt a business side to boxing...
