Superstar in boxing? Yes. Superstar in sports in general? No. He's not on Jeter's, Kobe's Lebron's, or Tiger's level.

Pretty silly, because it all depends how one defines 'Superstar.'

Obviously he is not as big as Ali, Jordan, or even Pacquiao on a global scale, he is not even close. But those guys are global icons, something that is bigger than a superstar. But he is still pretty damned huge, and I think he is a superstar and a cash cow. But even if he is or is not, he's a retired superstar, so it's all moot anyway.
