You needed a chemist to be there... I understand there was a plaster like powder in the wrap material that would harden when activated. Also, if Marg was not suspected of cheating prior... they might be in the room but it's just to make sure the wraps are put on properly not to look for signs of plaster of paris inside the material.

Cotto's team has admitted to not being as diligent as they should have been during the process and I believe they sent someone other than his uncle to oversee the wrapping.
