Some people don't want to accept this kind of explanation after a loss. They want to hold on to the fact that as a professional boxer, you should be responsible in your preparation for any fight. You don't make any excuses.

But I say, regardless of whether Perez is telling the truth or not, all I can say is that in boxing, preparation is not only physical but also mental. Leonard once said that boxing is 80% mental, 20% physical. One's body allows you to be as physically prepared as ever, if your mental preparation is quite focused.

If Perez was bothered by such a relationship, then it could have affected his preparations for the fight.

Perez' next fights should be a gauge if what he's telling is true or not. 'Coz if he still loses his next two to three fights...then I would say he is indeed going down.

and what makes you think he was mentally ready for the mares fight?...becuase it was close?....darch was beating on him from the opneing bell, it just means darch >>>mares.....what does it have to do with mares...if you dont see the connection, you dont know the BW then.....
