Lol "Salido was a good win, but lost a ton already"

Could've also used "Salido was a good win, as he went on to win two world titles, defeating Robert Guerrero and KTFO out of Juanma in the process"

Also could've mentioned that 3 of 4 of Cotto's titles were vacant, one of them being from Michael Jennings..

JMM by far, I think Cotto has done enough to get into the IHOF but to compare him to JMM is ludicrous.

            you didn't show me anything.

statistics are statistics. there's a whole lot more to it than that. have another try at explaining -- not just to me, but the thread -- why Cotto's CV > JMM's.

comparing resumes.... not fighters... i know people get touchy...

my point on salido was that marquez caught him early when he was losing a lot... salido figured out his craft late in his career

i discussed cottos vacant title wins in previous post... its more important how you defend those belts...
but for kicks :..2 of the 3 vacant titles were won facing undefeated fighters with big upsides...

better than a lot of the guys marquez beat for his titles or his interim titles...

the gentleman really wants Cotto to be Great.

Cotto is good, but Marquez is cut from very different cloth as a fighter. and his resume is clearly superior.
