Pac is fighting in a different weight division now, I think that's pretty clear. We saw what happened when Marquez fought at around that weight division. He may be good at a 135 weigh in, then fighting 135 pounders when he weighs 140+, but he can't compete at 147 against the top guys, not at his age, not with all the wars he's been in.

either way people put it,jmm is a lightweight and he is too small and will be too slow at any higher weight,even at 140...when he fought floyd he looked so slow,and not just because floyd is fast,marquez just looked slow when he started throwing punches,this fight should have been at lightweight a long time ago,not years later and at a higher weight,pac has been able to do well at welter,jmm hasn't done anything to prove he's any good at those weights

Some of ya'll actin like JMM has fought dozens of times at a higher weight and lost them all. The fact is, JMM fought once at a higher weight, against argueably the most skilled defensive fighter of this era and he was wipped out. Much like almost all of Mayweathers opponents. But one fight and one loss against the best in the business at a higher weight doesn't mean Juan has proved or disproved anything one way or the other.

Look, it is what it is. In a perfect world, most people would love to see this fight back at the original weight that they campaigned in the first two go rounds. But the fact is that Pacquiao moved on a long time ago. JMM is chasing Pac, not the other way around. If Juan HIMSELF had such a huge problem with it then I'm sure he would be saying so - but he's not... and HE obviously still believes he can beat Manny Pacquiao. Even JMMs own trainer is saying the very same thing that many on this site have said about the weight not being an issue for this fight. Juan is looking for his own greatness right now (and yes, a big payday too) - it's his time for him to step up and prove he can do great things as well, outside of his normal comfort zone. I personally believe Nacho has the right idea about the weight not being an issue come fight night, although I understand that many disagree with it, which is fine - but to say JMM lost to Floyd in a one sided fight BECAUSE of the weight is not giving Floyd his just respect for his skills and ability to make 99.99999% of his opponents look unworthy. JMM lost to Floyd Mayweather because of Floyd Mayweather, not the weight.

Do u know that JMM dont have to weigh in at the maximum weight limit at 147lb?Do u know that he can come in at the minimum if he wants to? .......By coming in at the minimum he can maintain hes skill movement and speed cuz if he tries and comes in at 147 he would loose all that.....Yes JMM said that He cant handle the weight in the Mayweather fight at 143 but did u know that he was fighting Mayweather who is insanely skilled fighter at 147 and is way bigger than him? Exactly. If anything, JMM was out of his depth in the skill department firstly. The weight (his first at a higher one) is merely a side note to that issue. In other words, JMM would have lost to FMJ anyway, regardless of what weight it was at. Does anybody believe that Juan could have beat Floyd, even if they had fought at 130-135lbs.?? The weight merely made his chances that much less then they already were.
