Sportsmanship is dead just like our values

A number of reasons. To start with most the young people growing up these days are disrespctfull morons who couldn't tell u who the vice preisdent is or find russia on a map.

People don't discipline their children anymore, instead they work all day and let mtv and their local daycare raise their kids. And when they are home there too worried about their children's "self esteem" and not worried enough about raising productive individuals. Not to mention if they have an active child who hates sitting in a desk all day ( shocking ) they shove pills down their throats because they don't wanna deal with a hyper kid. ADHD my ass

The entire culture in this country is ****ed up. People don't ever travel so they don't realize just how lucky they are. For some reason everyone thinks their owed something, like freedom isn't enough. People in general have no morals, it's get money, make money, suck moneys **** and everything else comes a distant second. Women will **** any dude that rolls along and then end up single moms who can't cut it. The "men" don't seem to feel any obligation to take care of their bastard children. Kids see other kids who have real families and end up hating their own.

Rap music, dirty cops, ****ed up tv shows, the media teaching people it's cool to be gay, the on going war on god and religion, polititions selling the country out, the list goes on and on.

Athletes are just regular people with abiltiy, they are the mirror of what's going on with the world. Sportsmanship like chivalry is dead and we all helped killed it.
