Apparently, you are correct, the statement from Sauerland was rubbish.....Come on, all the controversy over the ringside officials is unwarranted.
The referee, judges, and venue are totally neutral.
Judges
Cedric Ward (Oakland)
Jerome Ward (Oakland)
Shandice Ward (Oakland)
Referee
Andre Ward Sr (Oakland)
Ringside Doctor
Dr. Shaw-Hi
Venue
Dining Room (Ward Residence, Oakland)
Everything is fair and transparent. Talk of bias towards Andre Ward is way off the mark.
Contrary to Wilfried Sauerland’s comment in his press release of today when he states, “all of a sudden (California Commission) insists on installing a Californian judge as well as a Californian referee,” Wilfried would be 100 percent incorrect that the commission insisted on a California referee or acted in any manner inconsistent with our agreement with Sauerland.Comment

Does Joe Goosen have a track record of lying or making things up? Because I know Team Sauerland does.Comment

I suppose this is pretty much a non-issue until the officials are announced.
I read that Goosen denied that any such " agreement " was in place.....
" Dan Goossen, Ward's promoter, denied there had been such an agreement, but said every effort was made to have neutral officials "

LMAO. If you take everything a promotor says as the truth I got an Eiffel-tower to sell you. Besides you should check this:
^^^^ Here Goosen DENIES that there is any agreement, but in the pressrelease posted on Boxingscene he actually refers to an agreement:I suppose this is pretty much a non-issue until the officials are announced.

Exactly what was agreed upon, the California Commission has granted, one Californian judge, one German judge, one neutral territory judge, and a neutral territory referee, which the California Commission was very helpful in supportingComment

Maybe you should read your own links a little more carefully. Goosen doesn't deny there was an agreement. He just has a different take on what the agreement was.
"Goosen says that "Their accusation that California insisted on a California referee [for Ward-Abraham] is 100 percent inaccurate and, as far as I know, we have agreed to have one California official of the four officials, which is unusual to do. I don't know how much more neutral the commission can be."Comment

Really? Your own posts says otherwise:
So the above means there is no agreement but the Goosens is doing everything they can to get neutral officials simply because Goosen is such a nice guy. Goosen doesn't have to do it but he does. Maybe his efforts is enough to ensure that the boneheaded CSAC actually appoints neutral officials or maybe the efforts are not enough. But at least Goosen tried to make things right.... That's what Goosen wants you to believe and if you find that credible that's your call.I suppose this is pretty much a non-issue until the officials are announced.

Oddle enough Goosen, in the boxingscene article, states that there was an agreement namely: One Californian judge, one German judge, one neutral territory judge, and a neutral territory referee.

1.) If, there was an agreement, it has not been dis-honored
2.) If, there was not an agreement, there is nothing to dis-honor
3.) the officials have not been announced yetComment
